ART BORN FROM INDIVIDUALITY

Creator of Individual Art

“Today’s art is the art of individuality. Artists, having rejected strict canons, strive to create their own unique style. They want at all costs to be different — recognizable among thousands of similar creators. They forge their own mark, their own symbol.

Loose associations of artists with a similar artistic outlook — yet without limiting one another — are being formed. They prefer to stand apart, to create new trends and directions in art, ones that are truly their own. Often they walk through art alone, play for high stakes, and sometimes they simply win.”

Beginnings and education

Raised in a creative environment, I developed a sensitivity to light, color, and the material of painting from an early age. I received my artistic education at the High School of Fine Arts in Łódź, and later in the painting studio of the Grand Theater, where my precision, color harmony, and refined technique were formed.

Paintings and portraits

Easel painting remains the center of my artistic work. As a member of ZPAP and the Association of Polish Painters and Graphic Artists, I have created numerous portraits of prominent personalities, seeking not only likeness but also psychological depth and individual character.

Theater and film

Working with the Dramatic Theater and Polish Television allowed me to combine painting with the creation of stage space. Designing sets for theatrical and film productions taught me to build a visual narrative based on light, rhythm, and balanced composition.

with Maria Foltyn

Many years of cooperation with Professor Maria Foltyn at the International Moniuszko Festival allowed me to create stage designs characterized by a high culture of form. I built spaces full of subtlety, elegance, and dramatic depth, which became the hallmark of my style.

Creativity today

Today, I combine my years of experience as a stage designer with figurative painting, creating portraits, painted compositions, and commissioned works. My paintings are held in both Polish and international collections, and I continue to develop my art toward balanced, emotional figuration.

Stage design debut

The breakthrough came with the staging of the opera “Paria” in Cuba — an exceptional event in the history of Polish stage design. After returning to Poland, I collaborated with renowned Warsaw theaters, creating scenographies based on painterly thinking, attention to detail, and classical aesthetics.
